Welcome to the Queen's Head Inn situated in the beautiful village of Great Whittington, only 25 minutes from Newcastle; it offers great food, great beer and warm open fires which create a true country pub atmosphere. Our staff are friendly and helpful, we offer at least three ales brewed locally and endevour to source our meat and produce on the doorstep. Head Chef Steven Murray and his wife Claire who manages the bar and restaurant have a simple philosophy, get back to basics and give great value for money. Steven aquired his skills working in restaurants and hotels throughout Scotland, from Oban to Glasgow and finally Slayley in Northumberland.
Always on the menu at the Queens Head, is locally bred beef from a fine herd of Galloway grazing at the village farm also a varied selection of in-season game. So why not experience the warm and welcoming atmosphere at the Queens Head, Great Whittington, a village not far from anywhere.
Please note. From the 6th of July 2009 the Queens Head will no longer be serving food on Mondays & Tuesdays. However the Bar will still be open for business between 6pm & 11pm. Food will be served as usual from Wednesday to Sunday.
